CONCEPT
An Ode to the Heritage.
Timeless,
Dates back,
And,
Talks about older origin of things
For a House in Finnøy, Norway, we designed around the philosophy of “An ode to the heritage”. Being located in the traditional district of Ryfylkeis where once it was the power house in the fourteenth century, the client desired a house to respect the heritage where it belonged.
The master-bedroom is a tucked away den like space, to find solace from long days and moon nights.
Exposing to natural light has many health benefits, for example it fights seasonal un happiness and reduces health risks of fluorescent light.
Watching the stars, the moon and the morning sun through the light shaft.
A fortified sanctuary for the cold climate and the sunny days, a stargazer for the northern lights.
An iconic contemporary space that creates transparency and duality, embraced by the natural organic light.
The discreet extension pays tribute to Carl Pruscha’s original design, seamlessly expanding the Taragaon Cafe while providing a versatile canvas for artists.
Creating an environment of peace and solitude where simplicity and complexity meet.
