CONCEPT
Seamlessly expanding while remaining unobtrusive, the discreet extension designed as a tribute to Carl Pruscha’s original creation functions as an extension of a cafe, complete with a kitchen and necessary amenities.
The renovation of Taragaon Cafe presents an exciting opportunity to revitalize and transform the space. The cafe’s unique charm will continue to define the revitalized space, catering to both loyal patrons and newcomers, offering a seamless blend of cafe culture and a fine dining experience.
The concept seamlessly shifts interconnected spaces from a daytime café to a refined evening dining setup, providing a versatile and memorable environment for everyone with an adaptable layout catering to diverse activities and experiences.
Introducing an additional unit to the Taragaon Museum, originally crafted by Carl Pruscha in 1970, our objective is to seamlessly integrate this new addition with the existing structure, demonstrating the utmost respect for its original design while achieving harmony with minimal disruption.
This café design preserves the original structure while introducing minimal changes, featuring multi-level seating for varied experiences and an integrated art gallery to showcase artists, creating a harmonious blend of comfort and artistic inspiration.
The existing space’s character is maintained, enriched by versatile seating options and a vibrant cultural hub.
A gateway which conveys a sense of duality.
Drawing inspiration from Parisian cafes, the space unfolds gracefully from the street, extending towards its exclusive private courtyard.
An iconic contemporary space that creates transparency and duality, embraced by the natural organic light.
